If you have experience with the new Yamaha YXZ1000R OR YXZ1000R SS, then you need to check out what we have for you! wide ratio  gear reduction for the factory transmission. our wr kit includes new low range 1st gear and overdrive 5th gear . our patent pending clutch oiling system will never leave your yxz stranded.



Our last upgrade we are offering is the clutch drum mod that increases the oil capability of the stock clutch basket by using redirected oiling paths to cool and lube the more friction prone areas. It really gives the clutch the ability to be super heated, hot enough to billow out smoke, but keep a firm and full pedal. The footage we have of our YXZ in the rocks is using the STOCK clutch plates and discs! They can hold up to the abuse, but we also offer and recommend the Barnett clutch plates and discs. The addition of our clutch mod can work in conjunction with any aftermarket clutch system, the Rekluse clutch is a popular clutch.


Once your deposit is in we will ship you a box outfitted with dense foam packing so you can ship us your complete transmission. When we receive your transmission it takes about 4-5 days to split the cases, modify the porting, modify the clutch and install the gears. You can give us a call anytime or shoot us an email.





All gear reduction systems work on 2016 standard shift and 2017 SS (Sport Shift Models). The SS machines require an additional piggyback computer system, the GSC, that runs $350. It has to be programmed for which gear choice and tire size you will be using.


(Full Trail Edition WR Kit - $2000) In stock form its geared extremely high, and with the addition of an industry standard tire size, it compounds the sluggishness and battle with the YXZ’s ability to climb. With the available combinations we have provided the Yamaha with a true WR (Wide Ratio) Transmission; you could call it the YXZ1000WR. The optimum WR combo is our 70/30/30/30/15% gear kit with a 31” tire. The full kit includes labor for gear install, machining the case half, the clutch mod and external oiling system. Does not include shipping.

(Full Desert Edition/Turbo WR Kit - $2000) The YXZ seems to have been developed for the West Coast terrain: larger tires to conquer the desert, dunes and long open stretches. Although the gearing works decent in these scenarios, the addition of larger tires put a heavy strain on the Yamaha’s drive-train components. The new 15% reduction kit helps return more of that lost power while still retaining the high MPH utilized out here. When combined with the 1st gear option this kit produces a 45/15 reduction; and when combined with our Over-Drive 5th it provides a 45/15/15/15/1% ratio. This ratio is for TURBO CARS ONLY; we recommend the 45/15 with no overdrive for all naturally aspirated vehicles. (5th gear - $550, Single Gear Set Only) We are proud to release our new Over-drive 5th gear option which will return 15% of your gearing back. This option requires only a small bit of grinding to install and can be done by your local tech. The addition of 5th gear will allow for a higher top speed for those looking to maximize performance and will allow for a lower running RPM when traveling on long stretches of road.


(15% Drop Set - $550) The 15% reduction kit eliminates the

slugishness that happens when you add an oversized tire to

the YXZ.

This gear requires NO MODIFICATION TO THE CASE HALF!

(1st Gear - $500, Gear set & Input gears) The other gear

reduction we offer is in 1st gear only, which adds an

additional 35% reduction. It does require the transmission case

to be machined. Just doing the 1st gear does not give much of a

low range, it makes taking off easier but is not recommended

for any technical driving.


(IRP Pressure Plate - $499)  We have just released our IRP (Initial Response Plate) that works in conjunction with the electronic controlled clutch actuator to provide a smooth and steady start or stop from take off. You can now leave your foot on the gas when climbing something steep and the car will stay still, just like a normal car or a CVT style UTV (like a RZR). This really improves the drive-ability of the YXZ and when combined with our WR Trail kit makes the YXZ the ultimate platform for trails or high speed running. You can drive at 1mph and not be damaging the clutch. Includes 1 new clutch plate and new standard thickness steels..

With the power delivery being so high in the

RPM range, driving the YXZ to its potential is

difficult and the average Joe is not used to

driving a UTV like a 2 stroke 125 with an

aggressive power-band. The Tubeworks WR

kit raises the cars drive-ability by bringing

down the power so it can be used more easily

and make the car much more driver friendly.

This means that instead of having to keep the

car above 7,000RPM to harness the power,

the car can now be short shifted much sooner

but still have the torque to really feel the

acceleration and power. The gear reduction

also lets people run 30's or 31's and have

the same pull and feel as stock tires.
